NBC kicked off its “Grimm” panel Saturday Comic-Con 2013 with a clip shot three days ago. In it, Monroe, Juliette and Rosalee have abandoned their car and are trying to climb out of the container yard and escape the zombies. The show’s producers didn’t give away much else. Even moderator Lester Holt from “Dateline” couldn’t pry out any secrets. (NBC did run a clip of “Dracula” starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers at the end of the panel. It looks bloody.) “Grimm” stars shared a few thoughts about season 3: (I took photos — ignore name plates because the actors didn’t sit behind the right ones! — and wrote this up for the news org I work for — U-T San Diego — so you can find original story gallery and more Comic-Con 2013 coverage HERE. )
A first name? Reggie Lee (Sergeant Wu) is hoping his character gets a first name and a new costume. Producers wouldn’t say if that would happen but they did say his character will “suffer greatly” in season 3 and “possibly recover.”
Wedding Bells: Bree Turner (Rosalee) and Silas Weir Mitchell (Monroe) confirmed there would be a wedding this season. (They first heard of the nuptials through a TV article.) Mitchell hinted that the Blutbad-Fuchsbau couple may face some challenges before they tie the knot. “I look forward to the obstacles en route to what is hopefully a felicitous nuptial,” he said.
Why so grim, Grimm? David Giuntoli (Nick Burkhardt) didn’t really want to say if his character is dead, but the show’s producers said he’s “definitely going to the darkside.” Giuntoli said he’s enjoying the changes in store for Nick. “It’s very nice to get to be angry,” he said. “There’s gonna be a lot of fighting in this first episode.”
Happy to be cured: Bitsie Tulloch (Juliette) says she’s happy to have her memory back and in love with the right character (Nick). She admits she tripped while filming last season’s shots of her looking into the abyss at her house. What about baby Grimms? Fans asked the show’s creators, who said definitely not.
The big tease: Sasha Roiz (Captain Sean Renard) says he might take his shirt off again this season. (Fans applaud wildly.) What about his mysterious royal character? “I like keeping the audience guessing, I like keeping myself guessing. I look forward to all the various machinations he has in store.” A fan asked why Renard wears a wedding ring. The creators say it’s a royal ring. (The woman asking the question disagrees, calling it a wedding ring, but the creators stick to their answer.)

My buddy Maria over at SookieStackhouse.com tipped me off that we’d be getting two GRIMM shows in another week from NBC. And that’s great because the show wasn’t on last week — as were a lot of programs because of the Thanksgiving holiday I guess — and I don’t see anything scheduled for Dec. 2. ABC’s ONCE UPON A TIME also was on hiatus last week. Yup — I like both shows. And they’re both different. Believe they have both been renewed for second seasons. Anyone else out there watch these?
I went to the GRIMM website and here’s a description of the next two shows:
Special Night on Thursday (Dec. 8)
“Danse Macabre” — A beloved high school music teacher’s body is destroyed by rats.
Friday (Dec. 9)
“The Three Bad Wolves” — Nick and Hank investigate the explosion of a Blutbad’s home.
