Fairy tales: NBC giving Grimm fans back-to-back shows November 27, 2011

My buddy Maria over at SookieStackhouse.com tipped me off that we’d be getting two GRIMM shows in another week from NBC. And that’s great because the show wasn’t on last week — as were a lot of programs because of the Thanksgiving holiday I guess — and I don’t see anything scheduled for Dec. 2. ABC’s ONCE UPON A TIME also was on hiatus last week. Yup — I like both shows. And they’re both different. Believe they have both been renewed for second seasons. Anyone else out there watch these?

I went to the GRIMM website and here’s a description of the next two shows:

Special Night on Thursday (Dec. 8)
“Danse Macabre” — A beloved high school music teacher’s body is destroyed by rats.

Friday (Dec. 9)
“The Three Bad Wolves” — Nick and Hank investigate the explosion of a Blutbad’s home.

I have watched Grimm and I like it. I have not seen Once Upon a Time. I am really into American Horror Story right now. I don’t know if you have watched it, but it’s fantastic. It’s disturbing for sure, but the writing and acting on the show is amazing. There is a good romance, although twisted, between Tate (who is a ghost) and Violet (a human girl). I have to warn you that Tate is a very bad bad boy. If you watch the show, you will know what I mean. Even though he has done some horrible things, I can’t help but love the kid though. Is that weird? I’m still blaming his behavior on the house. I think it possessed him.

The casting for this show is fabulous as well; Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton, Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga (Vera’s sister), Frances Conroy and Denis O’Hare.

2. Rhiannon Tiger Clause - November 28, 2011

I think Once Upon A Time did a better job setting up their season’s premise. Grimm seems to just be tinkering with the idea of cop that polices the supernatural community. Hopefully it will pick up with these two new eps.

Yup — Once has a much more defined premise. It’s also cool to see the way they jump back and forth between realms/times. Grimm kind of leaves you hanging as it ends and if you didn’t see the first show, you’d have no clue what a Grimm is or does. But, I like their series, too. Very different. So many questions about both!
