Check out new paperback cover for ‘Shadowfever’ March 13, 2011

I thought the hardcover for SHADOWFEVER was fab, but it looks like Karen Marie Moning’s team has come up with another winner for the mass market paperback cover — scheduled for release Aug. 30. Check it out below.

KMM says on her blog that the cover is printed on foil, which gives it a sheen. You see Black Mac more clearly on this cover with dark hair, grunge leather and red silk. She’s not facing the camera so we don’t see her face. KMM says, “She’s not liking what she sees in the mirror and has no desire for anyone to look too deep into her eyes.  She knows what’s behind them now.”
The tattoo on this cover is different, too. It looks like the tips of Mac’s wings are starting to unfurl, says KMM.  And the back cover is straight out of the White Mansion — dreamy and haunting, KMM says.

And in case you didn’t get it, here’s the hardback cover:

Did you miss these?

I loved the cover for the hardback and the paperback copy looks pretty nice, too. Anyone going to get it — just to have it?

It’s really beautiful. I just might get it just to have it. I really loved this series and have it in paperback and hardcover, so I might as well keep up the tradition and get this one in both. I also have Dreamfever and Shadowfever in audiobooks and some T-shirts from the book series – obsessed much??? (LOL)

I think I might get the paperback, too. It just looks cool — especially the backcover. I don’t have any of the audiobooks though. A long time ago, I did download the first one onto my iPod but I don’t have it any longer!

I want Fever PJs — like the ones we saw in NOLA! Haven’t checked KMM’s site to see if she has those.

Oh the audiobooks are great for Dreamfever and Shadowfever. I love that guy who does Barrons’ voice.

I am really pleased to read your comments on the paperback cover of the book.

As strange as it seems, I actually shot the photograph that inspired the image on the back cover. I only found out recently that KMM has decided to use it and I am thrilled to bits!!!

Can’t wait to get my own copy on 30th August…

Wow — that is really cool!!!! The whole cover is pretty amazing — as is the series and the last book! How did you find out she was going to use it?!
