Looking for a short vamp series? (And let’s face it — it’s tough to find a short series these days!) Dot, our vampire connoisseur and regular contributor to this blog, likes these tales from Kathy Love. (Thanks Dot!) Let us know what you think! Leave us a comment below. Also — I’ll be at a Patricia Briggs book event Tuesday (April 6) so will have a post on her remarks about book No. 5 in the Mercy Thompson series — SILVER BORNE. OK — onto Dot’s book pick!
Kathy Love’s YOUNG BROTHERS series is about three vampire brothers — Rhys, Sebastian and Christian — and their werewolf sister Elizabeth. You don’t hear much about this four-book series and that is a shame because it is definitely a good read. Each book is about one of the siblings. The titles (such as FANGS FOR THE MEMORIES and FANGS BUT NO FANGS) make you think it is silly chick-lit but don’t be fooled. There is some good writing here with some steamy love scenes and humor. When a writer can make me laugh I often forgive some other minor faults in the plot. Do read these in order. They are lighthearted, sexy, and I guarantee you won’t be able to put them down.
