I snapped up my copy of SILVER BORNE — book No. 5 in the Mercy Thompson series — and figure I’ll zoom through it in plenty of time to hear author Patricia Briggs talk before her  book signing here in Orange County.  For those lucky fans in the O.C., Briggs will be at the Barnes & Noble in Huntington Beach on 7881 Edinger Ave.  on April 6 (Tuesday) at 7 p.m. I’ll be there!

Are you reading her latest? It’s good so far!!!!!! I can’t wait to hear her!!!! Am excited. Do you think there will be a crowd?

2. van p. - April 2, 2010

I just received my book in the mail today, so haven’t started on it. Will start on it soon, don’t know if i can finish in time for the signing..hope she wont read anything with spoilers haha. I definitely think there will be a crowd, since Mrs. Briggs doesn’t usually go on tour and she’s a NYT best selling author.

I’m coming from L.A, hoping to get there at least an hour early…i want to make sure i get a seat (last time i came 30 mins early for a book signing and there was already people there) Do you live in the O.C, i say to still come early to get good seating.

Diana McCabe - April 2, 2010

I picked up my book the other day and am halfway through it. It’s good! I don’t think she’ll give out any spoilers but folks in the audience might!

I will try and get there early. (I will be the one with the video camera/regular camera and reporter notepad! Oh — and my copy of the book.) I mainly wanna take notes on what she says and get a few photos of her with her fans. If I can swing a video clip — great. but mostly just wanna listen and hear what she says.

Should be fun. I live in Huntington Beach but work in Irvine …. but I should be able to get there early!

Haha, that’s true the audience always manages to ask some type of spoiler questions.

That’s so cool that you’re planning on recording it! Is it for your blog?
I’m going to bring my camera too, in hopes that they’ll let us take a picture with her. Are you only bringing SB? I wonder if there’s a book limit…because i wanted my other books sign too. I think you should bring all just in case they let us.

Hope to see you there too, I’m a little Asian girl with red hair *laughs*, I look wayy younger than i am…sucks but oh wells.

4. Diana McCabe - April 3, 2010

I think I might just bring SB. I was at same store for a Laurell K. Hamilton signing and it was CROWDED. I think she signed multiple items but limited it somewhat bc the crowd was so big. I might give the store a call and ask.

Hey — I’m Asian, too. Half-Japanese/half Irish! But I sooooo look like my frumpy middle-age self! I will look for an Asian girl with red hair! I will try and get there by 6.

van p. - April 3, 2010

Oh if you call tell me what they say…realllly want my other books signed.

Yeah LKH is a big NYT authors..crowd will probably be as big.

That’s so cool, i never met a Japanese/Irish person :D!! I’ll try and get there early too…hope we get good seats.
