According to Variety, the grandson of Steve McQueen has been signed to the CW Network’s “Vampire Diaries.” He reportedly will play the character Jeremy — not a vampire.

“Vampire Diaries,” written by L.J. Smith is a series about Elena,  a girl caught between two vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon. Jeremy is Elena’s brother.

Here’s what L.J. Smith wrote on her Web site when the script was approved:

“Yes, it is true: the script has been approved to make a pilot for The Vampire Diaries.  This doesn’t mean that TVD will be a TV series: first it has to go head to head with the other pilots that are being made for next fall.  Here is what I know so far: the CW picked it up to make a pilot, and one of the executive producers (and writers) for it is Kevin Williamson, who wrote Dawson’s Creek, Scream, and I Know What You Did Last Summer.”

Great book! Its way way way better than Twilight. And that must mean something because I’m pretty much the biggest Twilight fan now I’m an even bigger Vampire diaries fan!
